What it does
- Detects drives automatically in the background. The tracking modes are Automatic, Manual and Both; automatic detection needs Location set to "Always".
- Trip start points are backdated and end times are trimmed to where the car parked. Auto-stop shows a countdown with a Cancel button.
- Missed-Trip Recovery (Settings → Missed-Trip Recovery → Recover Missed Trips) is off by default. If the app was asleep during a drive, it can rebuild the trip afterward from the places your iPhone recorded you leaving and arriving; the result is marked as an estimate, has no GPS route, and is left for you to check.
- The "Trip Ended" notification has Business and Personal buttons that classify a still-unclassified trip without opening the app, and they work from the Lock Screen without unlocking.
- In the unclassified queue, swipe left for Business or right for Personal; press and hold opens the full category list; several trips can be selected and classified together, and the selection bar previews the value of each choice.
- Work Hours rules can classify trips as Business, and off-hours trips as Personal; a saved Favorite Location can carry its own category; a place rule wins over a schedule rule. You set every rule.
- IRS standard mileage rates for 2023 through 2026 are built in, including both 2026 periods. By default each business, medical or charity trip is priced at the rate in effect on its date.
- Exports a CSV or PDF for a chosen range (all time, a year, recent months or custom dates), opened from the Reports tab ("Export Report"). The exports list each trip's date, times, category, business purpose, distance, addresses, odometer readings, notes and deduction; they contain no route or map.
- The Year-End Tax Package produces a per-trip CSV, a summary PDF and a plain-text summary; one button ("Generate & Share Package") builds them in one step.
- Settings → Data & Backup → Back Up All Trips writes your trips and favorite locations to a JSON file you own. Restore from Backup reads it back, on the same iPhone or another one, and skips trips already present. The app also saves an automatic backup at most once a day, when your trips have changed, and keeps the 10 newest in its folder in the Files app.
What it does not do

- No Apple Watch app, no CarPlay, no Siri.

- No Bluetooth or car-connection trigger.
